The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has roped it American Express (or Amex) American Express as a a Global Sponsor.
The expanded deal, set to run until 2026, covers the men’s, women’s, and youth national football teams of Argentina.
Apart from branding rights, it entails Amex offering its card holders “early access to preferred seats and locations” for the Argentina men’s team matches in Argentina as well as “select international friendlies”, while also offering them “opportunities to participate in meet and greets and training sessions, on a limited basis”.

Speaking about expanding the AFA agreement, Mohammed Badi, President of Global Network Services, American Express, commented:
“Our expanded sponsorship of the Argentine national team will elevate the AMEX brand globally and extend the benefits of membership to more people around the world.“
Leandro Petersen, Commercial and Marketing Manager, Argentine Football Association, added:
“Leandro Petersen, AFA’s commercial and marketing manager, The AFA brand is now consolidated globally with more than 50 top-level commercial sponsors. This agreement will allow AMEX card members to access exclusive experiences and be closer to their idols, one of the objectives pursued by AFA.”
