Club Atlético de Madrid team up with Visit Rwanda

Club Atlético de Madrid have announced a multi-year partnership with the Rwanda Development Board, which will see Visit Rwanda become an Official Sponsor of the club.

The deal will put the Visit Rwanda logo on the front of the Atleti men’s team’s training and warm-up shirts for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, also covering their matches for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Additionally, starting next season, Visit Rwanda’s logo will be present on the Atleti women’s team’s training and warm-up shirts, as well as on the back of the men’s and women’s teams’ matchday shirts.

Visit Rwanda will also have a prominent branding presence across multiple sections at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, the men’s team’s home stadium, as well as on the club’s digital platforms.

The partnership, which is to run until the end of June 2028, will also see the two parties work together on several marketing and advertising campaigns and fan engagement activities.

Óscar Mayo, General Director of Revenue and Operations, Club Atlético de Madrid, commented:

Great importance as a partner in our club’s goal of international expansion. We are always looking for partners with global solvency, linked to football and Visit Rwanda is an example of this. It is a country in constant growth and I am convinced that we will both benefit from this partnership.

Jean-Guy Afrika, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, added:

This landmark partnership with Atlético de Madrid reflects Rwanda’s strategic ambition to position itself as a premier global hub for investment, tourism, and sports development. The Club’s values of resilience, discipline, and excellence closely align with Rwanda’s national ethos and transformation journey. Through this collaboration, we aim to showcase Rwanda as an attractive destination for investors, a unique experience for global travelers, and a platform for nurturing talent and expanding opportunities for young Africans through sport.
