Barilla ropes in Roger Federer as its Brand Ambassador

To be very honest, until yesterday, I didn’t know about Barilla. It was only after I saw a commercial of the brand featuring Roger Federer that I decided to Google the product.

Barilla was first started as a small bakery in Italy in 1877. Today it is the world’s leading pasta maker and produces over 120 varieties of Pasta.  No wonder it has now chosen Roger Federer – the best tennis player of all time as its brand ambassador.

In an official statement, Vice Chairman Luca Barilla said, “Roger is an extraordinary person and athlete who, during his long career, has demonstrated principles and a conduct that has enabled him to conquer the hearts of millions of people in the world. We are confident that his values and global star power, coupled with our history and our way of doing business, will be of great help in bringing Barilla even further into its mission.

The TVC which stars Roger Federer and Chef Davide Oldani went public on 28th December 2017. It shows the duo cooking a perfect pasta meal together. Roger shared the ad film on his Facebook page and the video already touched the ten million mark on Youtube.

I am sure that Roger’s popularity will benefit Barilla like never before. His fan following across the globe will ensure that Barilla becomes a household name in the near future.
