Carlos Sainz signs for Williams Racing

British Formula One team Williams Racing have announced that Carlos Sainz will replace Logan Sargeant on their roster from next year onwards, coming on board on a multi-year deal. 

Sainz, who made his Formula One debut in 2015 with Toro Rosso alongside Max Verstappen, has three career victories to his name till date, all of which have come with his current team, Ferrari.

Sainz joined Ferrari in 2021 to replace four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel. He has also had stints with Renault and McLaren.

The Spaniard is set to replace Logan Sargeant, who made his Formula One debut with Williams in 2024.

As things stand, Sargeant does not have a confirmed seat for the 2025 F1 season.

Speaking about his move to Williams Racing, Carlos Sainz commented:

The ultimate goal of bringing Williams back to where it belongs, at the front of the grid, is a challenge that I embrace with excitement and positivity.
