Team Spirit announces female CS:GO roster
International esports organisation Team Spirit have announced that they will launch a female Counter-Strike division. Spirit will be launching the Team Spirit Female (TSF) team and the roster will make its debut in the ESL Impact series. The roster which makes up the TSF team is the same one that participate under the MVP name. The team currently consists of Justina 'Tynka' Ducká, Jammie 'Jammie' Alagozova, Lea 'xia' Vagová, Svetlana 'suns1de' Mevlid, Mirte 'Moraltis' Horemans. Aleksey 'Nevar' Voronov will serve as the team's coach. Nikita Cheshir Chukalin, CEO of Team Spirit, commented, "Anyone who has been following our organisation for a long time knows that we have been nurturing the idea of a female CS:GO roster for years. However, we have put it off, often due to circumstances beyond our control. Women's esports is an area that is growing so fast that it cannot wait any longer. After following this sphere for a long time and considering many teams, we finally decided that this particular lineup is currently performing at a good level and can become a part of Team Spirit. ‘This is the first-ever female roster in the history of our organisation, so we can call it a double experiment: female and European, English-speaking roster. I sincerely hope both experiments will succeed and the girls show their best qualities."

Top-G wins NESC 2023 trophy to qualify for World Esports Championships
with a stunning 2-1 victory against team Purr-ple at the ongoing National Esports Championships (NESC) 2023 organised by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI). Following this monumental result, Top-G has become the first Indian female CS:GO team to qualify for the global finals of the World Esports Championships (WEC). With ace CS:GO athletes such as captain Swayambika Sachar (Sway), Shagufta Iqbal (xyaa), Nidhi Salekar (Stormyyy), Dilraj Kaur Matharu (COCO), Aastha Nangia (CrackShot) and Priyanka Choudhary (ALEXAA) as Substitute in their squad, Top-G proved their mettle against team Purr-ple in the closely-contested finals. Top-G dominated the first map by 16 -10 before Purr-ple made a stunning comeback to win the second map 16-14. While both teams were going toe-to-toe in the enthralling finals, Top-G utilised their effective teamwork and proficient attacking tactics to edge out their opponents and take the last map by 19-15 in overtime.

NESC 2023 set to select Indian contingent for 15th World Esports Championship
The National Esports Championships (NESC) 2023 organised by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI) is all set to pick the Indian contingent for the upcoming 15th World Esports Championships (WEC) in Iasi, Romania, which will commence from March 15, 2023 and will be conducted online. ESFI’s event partner Upthrust Esports will be executing the qualifiers where a total of 275 athletes will be participating across all four titles – CS:GO, DOTA 2, Tekken7, and eFootball 2023. Marking a historic step, the country’s top female CS:GO athletes will be battling it out in the NESC to secure their berth at WEC 2023 for the very first time. While the open qualifiers of CS:GO will have 21 teams (127 athletes) competing, the women qualifiers will see the participation of 2 teams (11 athletes). For DOTA 2 there will be six teams (33 athletes) fighting against each other and for the single-player titles such as Tekken7 and eFootball 2023, there will be 72 and 32 competitors respectively. Vinod Tiwari, President of the Esports Federation of India, commented, "We are proud to see the overwhelming response for NESC 2023 from the male as well as female athletes of the country. The participation of such talented athletes will give India the impetus to exceed all expectations at the World Esports Championships. The qualifiers are going to be an exciting affair with high-quality gameplay and top-notch thrilling moments as every athlete gives it their all to compete on the biggest of stages. Saudi Esports Federation and Mastercard team up with Saudi National Bank

The partnership is aimed at growing Saudi Arabia's digital transformation and enhancing their gaming and esports infrastructure. SNB will work with SEF and Mastercard to work on new opportunities and build 'innovative financial products and offerings’ that create an added value and enhance the gamers' experience. The partnership builds on Mastercard's current deal with the SEF as they work towards promoting Saudi Arabia's gaming industry. SEF, Mastercard and SNB will also develop and unlock new experiences which will be powered by Web3 technology and will provide the gamers a chance to access exclusive benefits and unique experiences across the physical and digital world. Team Vitality extends JBL partnership
French esports organisation Team Vitality have announced an extension of their partnership with American audio brand JBL for 2023. The expansion of the partnership sees JBL become the Official Audio Partner of Vitality and the JBL Quantum branding will be present on the left sleeve of Team Vitality's jerseys. JBL Quantum headsets will also be present at different Team Vitality locations such as the V.Hive, the Berlin performance centre and State de France. JBL's logo will also be present on various Vitality media platforms and will have presence during major events in which Vitality will be taking part in, including the upcoming BLAST Paris Major 2023. Nicolas Maurer – CEO and co-founder of Team Vitality, commented, "We are very happy that JBL Quantum will continue the Team Vitality adventure as the Official Audio Partner for the next year. BLAST Premier extends A.P. Møller – Mærsk partnership
Esports entertainment firm BLAST have renewed their partnership with global logistics company A.P.Moller-Maersk. The partnership builds on their initial deal signed in April 2022. The partnership extension will see A.P.Moller-Maersk sponsor the entire BLAST Premier 2023 season, which got underway from January 19, 2023 with the BLAST Spring Groups. Maersk will also continue to enjoy branding across BLAST's physical and digital platforms and will present the BLAST Premier MVP awards, which will be a Maersk-branded trophy.
