WTA World No. 1 Iga Swiatek and ATP World No. 41 Ben Shelton have signed a new partnership with Swiss shoe brand On Running. Swiatek will join as a global ambassador of the Swiss brand which has Roger Federer as a co-entrepreneur. Swiatek and Shelton will both be wearing On Running shoes on the court from now on. Swiatek previously had a partnership with ASICS while Ben Shelton used to wear New Balance on the court. Both players will debut their new apparel at the upcoming Miami Open. The partnership will eventually see both players sport On apparel from head to toe on the courts. Federer had invested in the Swiss company back in 2021. Iga Swiatek, spoke about joining On Running, commenting, "I’m happy the On team believes in me as an athlete and a person. We plan to grow, develop and make an impact together. You’ll see me in totally new outfits during my next matches and I hope you like it as much as I do. 'And what’s more exciting is that we started to work on my shoes which are crucial in my job and will complement my style of play, giving me everything I need on court. Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights for the Davis Cup till 2024. The partnership will see Sony broadcast the tennis tournament in the Indian subcontinent including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka on their channel and also on their OTT platform, SonyLiv. Our consistent efforts to grow the tennis viewership base in India, has led to a considerable increase in reach for all three grand slams in our portfolio.” The qualifiers for the upcoming 111th edition of the Davis Cup will have a total of 24 teams participating and will consist of four singles and one doubles game in the home-and-away format. The qualifiers will go up against the Davis Cup 2022 finalist, Australia and Canada and also up against wild card entry teams Italy and Spain.
