The Chicago Bulls have signed a multi-year jersey patch deal with Motorola, a Chicago-based technology hardware company.
Beginning with the 2022–23 NBA season, Motorola’s logo will appear on the front of the Bulls shirt as part of the agreement. The company will gain inventory throughout the team’s digital properties as well as at their home ground, United Center, as a worldwide partner and the team’s exclusive smartphone.
Across the major US sports leagues, Motorola has a variety of jersey patch agreements, including ongoing collaborations with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers of the NBA. A former jersey sponsor of the Brooklyn Nets, the company is also set to have its logo appear on the San Diego Padres’ uniforms with the start of the 2023 Major League Baseball season.
Commenting on the deal, Michael Reinsdorf, Chicago Bulls President, said:
“The Bulls and Motorola both have a strong connection to our shared hometown of Chicago, which played a role in establishing the foundation for our relationship.
“We have worked together in the past, and it is exciting to see us take this significant step into a new, expanded partnership that will have local, national and global reach.“
Rudi Kalil, president of Motorola North America, added:
“Chicago is the place we’ve called home for many years and the Bulls have been an organisation we’ve respected and cheered on throughout that time.
“Motorola and the Bulls not only share an immense amount of hometown pride, but also a passion for bringing people together through unique consumer experiences. We’re thrilled to bring our two brands together and further infuse our company and versatile product portfolio with the vibrant energy of the city and Chicago Bulls and NBA fans around the world.”
