The German sportswear and sports equipment giant replaced New Balance as FEDEFUT’s official kit sponsor in a four-year deal that officially kicked off on January 1, 2023.
The deal not only covers FEDEFUT-affiliated national football teams (both men’s and women’s teams across the senior and youth categories) but also its beach football and indoor football teams.
Banco Nacional de Costa Rica is the largest commercial bank in Costa Rica and the second largest in Central America by assets. Headquartered in San José, Costa Rica, it was founded in 1877 as Banco de Emision, before it underwent rebranding again in 1948 and became Banco Nacional de Costa Rica.
Smart Fit is the largest chain of sports gyms outside the US and the fourth-largest in the world. Founded in 2009, with headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil, it is a low-cost network owned by Smart Fit Group, which also owns the Bio Ritmo and O2 gym chains.
Gollo is a Costa Rican retail store chain owned by Unicomer Group, a multinational retailing and consumer finance group headquartered in San Salvador, El Salvador. Gollo operates in retailing technology, furniture, and home appliances in the Costa Rican market.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is a British-American luxury hotel brand created in 1946 by Pan American World Airways founder, Juan Trippe. It has been part of UK-based InterContinental Hotels Group since 1998.
FEDEFUT announced in September 2022 that Kölbi, a mobile provider with operations in Costa Rica, would become an official sponsor of the Costa Rica men’s and women’s national football teams.
In July 2022, FEDEFUT introduced Pepsi and its beverage brands as its official sponsors via social media.
As per the deal, Pepsi served as the Costa Rica men’s national football team’s official non-alcoholic beverage during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Through the Pepsi agreement, energy drink Gatorade in July 2022 was declared as the official sports beverage of the Costa Rica men’s national football team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
As an official sponsor for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, PedidosYa, a technological business in delivery and quick-commerce in Latin America, partnered with FEDEFUT in May 2022.
PedidosYa is the first platform of its kind to sponsor FEDEFUT thanks to the aforementioned four-year arrangement. The deal covers all FEDEFUT-affiliated men’s and women’s national teams in addition to the app users and merchants, with PedidosYa providing promotions and discounts during the national teams’ matches.
In August 2021, Trumix, a Costa Rican pest control business that started in 2010, renewed its sponsorship agreement with FEDEFUT. The two first partnered in 2016.
As per the current deal, the men’s and women’s national football teams of Costa Rica have Trumix as an official sponsor until 2025.
Plycem is a Paraíso, Cartago–based Costa Rican construction services provider. It has not only constructed FEDEFUT’s official sporting complex, it also has its name on it: the FEDEFUTBOL-Plycem Sports Complex is located in Provincia de Alajuela, San Rafael.
MediSmart and SAAT became official sponsors of the Costa Rica men’s national football team in July 2021 through a four-year partnership.
MediSmart offers prepaid medicine plans, while SAAT provides ambulance services in Costa Rica.
Transportes Marvi, a private transport company in Costa Rica, became an official sponsor of FEDEFUT in March 2019.
FEDEFUT welcomed Costa Rican fruit supplier Interfrutd as an official sponsor in November 2019.
The deal entails Interfrutd supplying fruit to all FEDEFUT-affiliated national teams. The partnership is currently set to run until the end of 2023.
Hospital Metropolitano is a Costa Rican multi-speciality hospital located in San José.
The Costa Rican insurance company also serves as an official FEDEFUT partner.
Conrelax Plus is a muscle relaxant offered by San José–based pharmaceutical company Gutis.
Euromobilia is a Costa Rican interior designing firm based out of San José.
Ferretería EPA is a Venezuelan online retailer of construction tools and décor products that is based out of Valencia, Carabobo, and operates across Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Ferretería EPA’s Costa Rican division serves as an official FEDEFUT partner.
