Multi-year extension announced
Australia’s governing body for cricket, Cricket Australia have announced a partnership extension with pay-TV broadcaster Sky New Zealand, who will continue to hold the rights to broadcast international and select domestic games played in Australia in New Zealand. The multi-year partnership covers the next four Australian summers.
The partnership will kick off from the start of the 2025-26 season with Australia hosting England for the Ashes series before South Africa and India travel Down Under as well. New Zealand will then head to Australia in the 2026/27 season with the Kiwi women’s team also set to tour Australia the same year. Apart from the international games, the partnership covers domestic men’s and women’s games like the Big Bash League and elected Men’s Domestic One-Day matches, Prime Minister’s XI matches, Governor-General’s XI matches and Sheffield Shield Finals.
Sky will also broadcast the home games played by the Kiwi men’s and women’s team during the same cycle and most recently also announced a partnership renewal with New Zealand Cricket as well.
