David Warner is one of the most experienced World class cricketers globally and is one of the most consistent players in the Australian National team. He is the first Australian cricketer in 132 years to be selected in the national team in any format without any experience of First-Class cricket. He has also played for New South Wales, Sydney Thunder, St. Lucia Stars, Sylhet Sixers, and Sun Risers Hyderabad in domestic cricket. In January 2017, he was the fourth player to win the Allan Border trophy more than once and in consecutive years. He was also involved in a ball-tampering incident with the Australian team. The board banned him from playing international cricket and from any future leadership roles for his national team. Despite all of this, the Australian made a great comeback to the team by scoring the second-highest individual score by any Australian test batsmen with 335 not out against Pakistan. Let us take a look at all of his brand associations so far:
Spartan – After having a sponsorship deal with Gray-Nicholls for almost a decade, David Warner was seen using a Spartan bat after his comeback to the game. His sponsorship details haven’t been disclosed yet, but it is believed that he has signed for Spartan now.
Asics – The former Australian Captain was in a sponsorship deal with Sporting brand Asics, but the company had the deal terminated when the player was banned for 12 months for ball-tampering.
LG – David warner was in a sponsorship deal with LG’s electronic appliance manufacturing company since 2014 and was their Brand, Ambassador. LG, too decided, however, not to renew their contract with the player after the ball-tampering incident in 2018.
Nine Network – After the former Australian skipper got banned from playing, the Nine network decided to hire him as their commentator as they had a brilliant relationship with him over the years. This decision saw many disagreements around the TV network, but they decided to stand for it.
KFC – Cricket Australia partners KFC also had an association with the former Captain, who has done a few commercials for it.
Toyota – The Australian was also a brand Ambassador for the Japanese Car making company but got his contract terminated after his ban.
