NOTABLE CHARITY WORK
- Kane is a regular volunteer at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
- In April 2020, Kane led many top-flight footballers to launch the #PlayersTogether initiative, which was aimed at providing added funding to National Health Service (NHS), UK’s healthcare system, to aid them as they fought against the COVID-19 onslaught.
- In May 2020, Kane announced that he had acquired principal front-of-shirt sponsorship rights for Leyton Orient’s matchday kits. Having spent time at the club on loan in 2011, Kane not only aimed to financially help Orient as they traversed through a COVID-hit season, but also donated the sponsorship to three different causes. The home shirt had a thank you message for frontline NHS workers, the away shirt’s sponsorship was dedicated to Haven House Children’s Hospice, while the third kit was reserved for Mind, a mental health charity.
- In January 2021, as part of a fundraiser conducted by British animal welfare charity Blue Cross, Kane designed charity tea towels featuring his two Labradors, Wilson and Brady, with the proceeds going towards Blue Cross’ rehoming centres and animal hospitals.
