Inter Milan expands eBay deal to sleeve partnership

Inter Milan expand eBay deal to include sleeve sponsorship

December 21, 2022

Italian professional football club Inter Milan have expanded their partnership with American e-commerce company eBay, which was announced earlier this year, to also include a €5m-per-year sleeve sponsorship agreement that is set to run until the end of the 2023-24 season.

The announcement comes on the back of Inter having terminated their partnership with DigitalBits.

eBay enters the Italian football shirt sponsorship market for the first time by appearing on Inter’s jersey. The kits for the men’s and women’s first and Primavera teams will bear the eBay insignia on their matchday-shirt sleeves.

Commenting on the new association, Alice Acciarri, General Manager eBay Italia, said:

“Innovation and the continuous pursuit of excellence are the bedrocks and shared values on which our partnership with Inter is based. This bond was further strengthened today with eBay gaining visibility on the club’s shirt, one of its most important commercial assets. We’re proud to have such prominence on what is a highly symbolic item for Inter fans.

Alessandro Antonello, CEO Corporate, FC Internazionale Milano, also commented:

“We’re delighted to announce this new and significant development in the agreement between Inter and eBay, following on from the start of the partnership a few months ago. The presence of the eBay logo on the club’s shirt sleeves is proof of our brand’s growing attractiveness, and the reason behind a leading global e-commerce brand such as eBay choosing Inter as their first incursion into football sponsorship.
