For the game, here are our preview and predictions.

Indian Premier League 2025 | Match 24: Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Delhi Capitals | 19:30 IST, April 10

Both RCB and DC are sitting pretty at the top of the table with three wins each and healthy net run rates. The only blemish on the Royal Challengers’ record this season is the home defeat against the Gujarat Titans, which saw Mohammed Siraj and Co run riot with the new ball before Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler put the icing on the cake with a commanding run chase.

However, playing away from home in their previous match against the Mumbai Indians, RCB produced a complete performance to register their first win at the Wankhede in ten years. With the bat, despite Phil Salt’s early dismissal, their attacking intent shone throughout the innings with the likes of Virat Kohli (67 off 42), Devdutt Padikkal (37 off 22), captain Rajat Patidar (64 off 32), and Jitesh Sharma (40* off 19), as they posted a competitive total of 221/5 at the end of 20 overs.

In the second innings, Yash Dayal and Josh Hazlewood played an important role by removing the MI openers inside the Powerplay before coming in towards the back end to remove Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, ending the night with two wickets apiece. However, it was Krunal Pandya who emerged as the hero with the ball, taking four wickets on the night—including three in the final over—to help RCB win the contest by 12 runs.

The Capitals, on the other side, are the only unbeaten team remaining in this year’s IPL. Having won their first two home games at Visakhapatnam, Axar Patel and Co produced another commanding performance against the Chennai Super Kings to register their first win at Chepauk in 15 years.

Against the Super Kings, having elected to bat first, DC posted a challenging total of 183/6 in their 20 overs, with KL Rahul—opening the batting in Faf Du Plessis’ absence—playing the anchor with his 77-off-51 knock. There were solid contributions throughout the middle order as everyone chipped in, including the out-of-form Sameer Rizvi.

With the ball, Mitchell Starc and Mukesh Kumar started the innings strongly, removing both Rachin Ravindra and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad within the first three overs. From thereon, the DC spinners took over and spun a web around the CSK middle order. Both Kuldeep Yadav (1/30) and Vipraj Nigam (2/27) were decent on the night and helped DC close the game by 25 runs.

Coming into this game, both teams are closely matched. RCB know what works for them, but DC also have the batting and bowling prowess needed to inflict another home defeat on Rajat Patidar’s side.

DC have the stronger spin department, while both seam attacks cancel each other out. Moreover, given the nature of the wicket at Bengaluru, Delhi may opt to include Thangarasu Natarajan, who is yet to play a game this season as he continues to race against time to regain match fitness. Thus, looking at RCB’s home record and DC’s potent bowling attack, we give DC the slight edge.

Fantasy XI: KL Rahul, Jitesh Sharma, Virat Kohli (vc), Faf Du Plessis (c), Abishek Porel, Rajat Patidar, Axar Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Kuldeep Yadav, Yash Dayal, Mitchell Starc

Venue: M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
Winners Prediction: Delhi Capitals
