Republic of Ireland national football team sponsors 2023

This article contains information regarding the organisations enjoying a strong branding presence across the Republic of Ireland men’s and/or women’s national football teams’ physical and digital assets as sponsors and partners of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

Official Sponsors

Sky

Sky is a British media and telecommunications conglomerate, a division of Comcast, and is headquartered in London. It is Europe’s largest media company and pay-TV broadcaster by revenue. 

In September 2021, Sky Ireland, a subsidiary of Sky and a provider of television, internet and telephony services in Ireland, announced the signing of a four-year partnership agreement with the FAI, becoming the first-ever Primary Partner of the Republic of Ireland women’s national team in the process. 

Castore

Castore is a British sportswear producer headquartered in Manchester, England. In March 2023, the FAI announced the signing of a multi-year collaboration deal with Castore, making it the Official Kit Supplier and Retail Partner for its national teams. 

Aviva

Aviva is a British multinational insurance company headquartered in London, England. It is the largest general insurer and a leading life and pension provider in the UK.

Aviva Ireland has been an official sponsor of the FAI since 2010, supporting its Soccer Sisters programme while also holding naming rights to the home ground of the Republic of Ireland men’s national football team, Lansdowne Road, which is thusly called the Aviva Stadium.

Carlsberg

Founded in 1847, Carlsberg is a Danish multinational brewer. It became a corporate sponsor of the FAI in 2006 after signing an initial four-year contract reportedly worth €2 million.

As per the latest contract renewal signed by the two parties in August 2021, Carlsberg is to serve as the Official Beer Sponsor of the FAI until 2026. 

Nissan

Nissan is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi–Ku, Yokohama. It became the Official Vehicle Partner of the FAI in September 2019 after signing a three-year partnership agreement. As per the deal—reportedly worth €1.5 million—Nissan supplied the FAI with 55 vehicles. 

In March 2023, the FAI and Nissan announced the signing of a contract extension that sees the Japanese automaker continue serving as the Official Vehicle Partner of the FAI. 

DHL

A subsidiary of the German logistics firm Deutsche Post DHL Group, DHL is an American-founded German logistics company providing courier, package delivery and express mail service all over the world. It has been the Official Logistics Partner of the FAI since the early 1990s. 

In 2022, DHL signed a five-year extension to its deal with the FAI, which will see it continue as the FAI’s Official Logistics Partner until 2026. The renewed deal also covers the Republic of Ireland women’s national football team, with DHL serving them as one of their main sponsors. 

Circle K

Circle K is an American forecourt and convenience retailer headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. In March 2023, Circle K announced the signing of a multi-year deal with the FAI, becoming its Official Fuel and Convenience Partner in the process. 

As per the deal, Circle K serves as an official sponsor to the Republic of Ireland men’s and women’s national teams, while also serving as the title sponsor to the FAI Club Mark. 

Intersport Elverys

Intersport Elverys is an Irish sports-related chain of stores. Founded in 1847, it is the oldest sports store in Ireland.

In February 2020, the FAI announced the signing of a multi-year partnership deal with Intersport Elverys. As per the deal, Intersport Elverys partnered up with the FAI Summer Schools, which have been in effect for nearly two decades and welcome children aged between six and fourteen.

EA Sports

EA Sports is a division of the American sports video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts. The American gaming company has been a long-time sponsor of the FAI, having been the title sponsor of the League Cup since 2009. 

In 2021, EA Sports renewed its contract with the FAI, extending its role as the title sponsor of the FAI’s National Underage Leagues. The partnership also sees EA Sports sponsor all League, Shield and Cup competitions across both male and female academy systems.

Cadbury

Cadbury is a British multinational confectionery company owned by Mondel?z International since 2010. It is the second-largest confectionery brand in the world after Mars. 

In October 2021, the FAI announced that Cadbury had become an Official Partner of the Republic of Ireland women’s national team in a bid to further boost the support for women’s football in the country. 

Aircoach

Aircoach is an Ireland-based subsidiary of First Group, a British multinational transport group based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

In November 2020, Aircoach and the FAI announced the signing of a partnership agreement, resulting in the former becoming the Official Transport Provider to the latter and its senior men’s and women’s national football teams. 

STATSports

Founded in 2008, STATSports is an Irish sports technology company that specialises in the development of wearable monitoring devices for athletes across every level of the sport. 

In March 2022, the FAI announced STATSports as the “Official GPS Tracking System of the Republic of Ireland national teams” on a multi-year deal. 

Ballygowan

Ballygowan is an Irish brand of mineral water, owned by the largest soft drink manufacturer in Britain, Britvic. It is also the leading bottled water brand in the Irish market.

In March 2023, the FAI announced the signing of Ballygowan as one of its Official Hydration Partners on a four-year deal. 

Energise Sport

Energise Sport is an Irish soft drinks brand owned by Britvic. Together with Ballygowan, Energise Sport also has in place a four-year partnership agreement with the FAI. As per the deal, Energise Sport also serves as an Official Hydration Partner to the FAI.
