Isack Hadjar to miss F1 Dutch Grand Prix 2026; Liam Lawson back at Red Bull Racing for the race
Red Bull Racing have announced that their French driver Isack Hadjar will not be able to take part in this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix 2026. Hadjar will be missing the Dutch Grand Prix 2026 because of the wrist injury suffered during the summer break.
With Hadjar unavailable, Red Bull will bring Liam Lawson in to fill in for one race from the Racing Bulls team. Lawson previously was the second driver as Red Bull for the Formula One 2025 season but was replaced mid-season by Yuki Tsunoda from the Japanese Grand Prix 2025 onwards. Lawson since then has been with Racing Bulls and currently is enjoying a strong season with Racing Bulls, who are fifth in the Constructors’ standings.
Lawson standing-in for Hadjar means Racing Bulls will need a driver to fill in for them and it will be Yuki Tsunoda, who is the current Test and Reserve driver for Racing Bulls and Red Bull Racing.
Red Bull released a statement which read,
“Hadjar has sustained a wrist injury during summer shutdown that will prevent him from racing at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix. We will be welcoming back Lawson who will replace him in RB22 this weekend. The Team wishes Isack a speedy recovery and thanks Liam for stepping in on short notice.”
Racing Bulls, released a statement, which read,
“We thank both Liam and Yuki for their adaptability as the teams prepare for the weekend and we wish Isack a speedy recovery.”
