LTA announces new agreement with Redrice Ventures

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), which is the governing body for tennis in Great Britain, has announced a new partnership with investment firm focused on health, wellness and sport, Redrice Ventures. The partnership will see both work together to identify, support, and champion innovations which will help grow racket sports in the United Kingdom. LTA and Redrice Ventures will work on providing accessibility, inclusivity, facilities to the players from the grassroot level to the top level. Both will also work towards enhancing player performance, fan and community engagement as well. Multiple Grand Slam winner Andy Murray serves as an Associate Partner of Redrice Ventures.

Scott Lloyd, Chief Executive, LTA, said,

“The LTA’s vision is to open up tennis and padel to many more people, and innovation is critical to achieving that goal. This partnership with Redrice brings us closer to the entrepreneurs and technologies that can make our sports more accessible and inclusive, strengthen how players train and perform, and grow the game across Great Britain.”

Tom March, Redrice Ventures, commented,

“This partnership brings together two organisations that both believe innovation is essential to the future of sport. Redrice has built its reputation on identifying and scaling businesses that can genuinely move the dial — and the LTA’s network, credibility, and mission provide a platform that very few investment partners in the world could match. We’re excited about what we can build together.”

Andy Murray, Associate Partner, Redrice Ventures, added,

“I think this is a really interesting partnership for the LTA. I used technology increasingly in my career to help my performance in training and on court. Working with Redrice for the past year, I’ve seen how founders look at things differently and can identify ways to shake up the status quo. I hope this partnership helps to introduce tennis and padel to people who might not have played either sport before.”
