McLaren Racing have announced an extension of their partnership with multinational technology company Cisco, which will thus remain an Official Partner of McLaren Mastercard F1 Team as well as NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team.
McLaren will continue to use Cisco’s connectivity and tools for race operations and other team activities. The deal will also include cybersecurity and observability software for monitoring systems and managing performance data, while McLaren will also continue to use Cisco technology for networking, wireless systems, and hybrid-work tools both at the track and at their technology centre.
Nick Martin, Co-Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Racing, commented;
“We are delighted to extend and evolve our partnership with Cisco. Their technology has become integral to how we work across the team, from the factory to the track. As we explore the opportunities AI presents, Cisco will continue to be a key collaborator in helping us stay connected, secure and competitive.”
Susan Moran, President, Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China, Cisco, added:
“Together, Cisco and McLaren are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Formula 1 and motorsport by combining our technologies to help the team connect, communicate and adapt in real time. As AI transforms every industry, our partnership is a prime example of how secure networking and digital resilience can drive performance on and off the track.”
