Major League Soccer (MLS) has signed an agreement with General Motors, making one of the Detroit, Michigan-based company’s automobile divisions, Chevrolet, its Regional Partner in Canada.
The partnership will see Chevrolet work on various fan experiences and activations for the Canadian MLS fans. Chevrolet will also have branding presence at Canadian MLS games through in-venue and digital advertising as well as retail displays.
Speaking about the agreement, James Hodge, Brand Director, Chevrolet Canada, said:
“This partnership supports grassroots soccer while fostering the development of youth both on and off the field. This collaboration takes on even greater significance by leveraging the power of our Canadian Chevrolet dealer community, and we look ahead to fueling a growing enthusiasm and passion for soccer among Canadians.“
Rodrigo Coelho, Managing Director, Momentum Worldwide Canada, added:
“Our mission is to connect brands meaningfully with fans. We’re very excited to work alongside Chevrolet and MLS to make a significant impact in one of the fastest growing passions in North America, especially in a country with such a diverse set of fans.“
