Olympian stars in CRED’s latest ad.
Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra kicked off the resumption of the second phase of the Indian Premier League with his role in CRED’s latest advertisement.
CRED’s ‘Great for the Good’ campaign is conceptualised by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, Puneet Chadha, Deep Joshi and Vishal Dayama and written by EarlyMan Film.
Joining Chopra in the advertisement campaign is actor and CRED ambassador Jim Sarbh. The advertisement highlights CRED’s features and rewards.
The advertisement starts off with Sarbh speaking to the audience through the fourth wall about CRED and how the excitement of using the app is similar to that of Indians congratulating Chopra, who stars not as himself but as various over-enthusiastic and excited Indians hyping up the Olympian’s gold-medal triumph.
Speaking about the partnership with CRED, Chopra said:
“I am very happy to be associated with CRED, which aims at building a community of disciplined, trustworthy and creditworthy people. Playing the part in this ad-film was a totally different and entertaining experience and I hope the audiences enjoy this side of me.”
Founder and CEO of CRED, Kunal Shah, added:
“We are happy to continue our partnership with IPL as it returns this year. At CRED, our vision is to build a trustworthy community. In this campaign, we aim to solidify our message of financial literacy and educate the viewers on the benefits of practising responsible financial behaviour.”
Chopra is the latest athlete to star in the CRED ad campaign after Rahul Dravid, Javagal Srinath and Venkatesh Prasad, who have all featured in previous advertisements.
