ANZ and NZC’s partnership dates back several years, during which time the banking and financial services company has been a major sponsor and the Official Bank of New Zealand Cricket.
The two have been partners for over two decades, with the bank’s logo having also appeared on the 2018 men’s limited-overs jersey. ANZ also acts as a partner of the NZ women’s team.
ANZ also helps local cricket communities across New Zealand with grants, helping the players, fans, and teams around the country.
Spark Sport acquired the rights to broadcast Kiwi cricket for six years in October 2019. The deal officially got underway after NZC’s partnership with Sky Sports came to an end in April 2020.
As part of the deal, Spark Sport broadcasts all games involving the Black Caps and the White Ferns played in New Zealand, the New Zealand Cricket Awards, the men’s and women’s Super Smash games, and the final of the Ford Trophy.
Ford has been the Official Vehicle Supplier to New Zealand Cricket since October 2009. In 2011, it also became the naming rights sponsor of the Ford Trophy, the country’s premier domestic one-day competition.
The brand has also previously found its logo on the New Zealand men’s cricket team jersey in limited-overs cricket.
Dulux partnered with Spark Sport and TVNZ in August 2021, striking a three-year deal which sees Dulux broadcast international matches of both the Kiwi men’s and women’s national cricket teams.
Canterbury of New Zealand signed a deal to become the Official Clothing Sponsor of the Black Caps and the White Ferns in October 2008.
The brand also finds its logo on the top-right of the front of Kiwi matchday shirts in limited-overs cricket.
Gillette last extended its partnership with NZC, which started in November 2018, for the 2020/21 season, and took on the roles of official partner of the Black Caps, official partner of the domestic Super Smash series, and Official National Secondary Schools Partner (Gillette Cup and Gillette Venus Cup).
Gillette is also the official grooming partner of the Kiwi men’s national cricket team.
G.J. Gardner is a leading real estate firm in New Zealand and an official sponsor of New Zealand Cricket and its umpires.
KFC announced a three-year deal with New Zealand Cricket in November 2020, which saw the fast-food giant become a partner of the Black Caps and the White Ferns.
The brand acquired the naming rights for the then-upcoming T20I series against the West Indies while also becoming the presenting partner of the Super Smash.
Powerade is the official sports drink of the Black Caps and the White Ferns as part of a deal that covers New Zealand Cricket at all levels.
New Zealand Cricket announced a five-year deal with online fantasy gaming platform Dream11 in July 2022.
The partnership has seen creation of Kiwi-branded NFTs for fans to own along with online gaming.
Asahi Beverages also has a deal in place with New Zealand Cricket.
The brewery, as part of the NZC deal, spreads the message of responsible drinking (for those above 18).
RTD company Pals signed to become a commercial partner of New Zealand Cricket in August 2022.
The brand is an official partner of both the men’s and women’s national teams of New Zealand.
Food and Beverage brand Tegel was announced as the Kiwi men’s national team’s Test series naming partner in January 2024.
The deal, signed for a period of three years, will conclude after the end of the 2025/26 home season.
New Zealand Cricket inked a three-year partnership agreement with Wellington-based online insurance platform LifeDirect in August 2023.
The deal saw the company’s logo feature on the matchday shirts for the Kiwi men’s national cricket team’s series played in the UAE, England, and Bangladesh in the lead up to the 2023 ODI World Cup.
LifeDirect also acts as the series partner of all White Ferns and Black Caps ODI matches taking place in New Zealand.
TVNZ is the exclusive and official broadcaster of all domestic matches in which the New Zealand men’s and women’s national cricket teams participate. Further, the company holds the right to broadcast Super Smash matches from the 2023/24 season onwards until the end of a three-year period.
This deal was signed in December 2022 and kicked off with the start of January 2023.
SENZ New Zealand became the official radio commentary partner of New Zealand Cricket in June 2023. The two parties entered into a four-year agreement, which sees SENZ provide audio coverage throughout its digital platform for all matches featuring the Black Caps and White Ferns in New Zealand.
SENZ also broadcasts the men’s and women’s Super Smash series, as well as the finals of both the Domestic Premier and One Day Competitions.
