Here, we look at the organisations enjoying a strong branding presence across the New Zealand men’s and/or women’s national cricket teams’ physical and digital assets as sponsors and partners of New Zealand Cricket (NZC), the country’s official cricket-governing body.
The two have been partners for over two decades, with the bank’s logo having also appeared on the 2018 limited-overs jersey of the New Zealand men’s national team. ANZ also acts as a partner of the NZ women’s national team.
Additionally, ANZ helps local cricket communities across New Zealand with grants, helping players, fans, and teams across the country.
Spark Sport acquired the rights to broadcast Kiwi cricket for six years in October 2019. The deal officially got underway after NZC’s partnership with Sky Sport came to an end in April 2020.
As part of the deal, Spark Sport broadcast all games involving the Black Caps and the White Ferns played in New Zealand, the New Zealand Cricket Awards, the men’s and women’s Super Smash games, and the final of the Ford Trophy.
Ford has been the Official Vehicle Supplier to New Zealand Cricket since October 2009. In 2011, it also became the naming rights sponsor of the Ford Trophy, the country’s premier domestic one-day competition.
The brand’s logo previously featured on the New Zealand men’s national cricket team jersey in limited-overs cricket.
In May 2025, both parties renewed their sponsorship agreement for another three years.
Dulux partnered with NZC in November 2021, striking a three-year deal that entailed “a suite of premium rights and benefits; covering media and signage, branded activations, and apparel sponsorship.” Dulux also pledged to support local grassroots cricket communities in the country through this partnership.
In November 2024, New Zealand Cricket and Dulux renewed their partnership for “two more seasons”.
Gillette first partnered with NZC in December 2018 and took on the roles of official partner of the Black Caps, official partner of the domestic Super Smash series, and Official National Secondary Schools Partner.
Gillette is also the official grooming partner of the Kiwi men’s national cricket team and supports Kiwi women’s cricket via its female-focused personal care brand Venus.
G.J. Gardner is a leading real estate firm in New Zealand and an official sponsor of New Zealand Cricket and its umpires, having enjoyed a long-standing partnership with NZC.
KFC announced a three-year deal with New Zealand Cricket in November 2020, which saw the global fast-food giant become a partner of the Black Caps and the White Ferns.
The brand acquired the naming rights for the then-upcoming T20I series against the West Indies, while also becoming the presenting partner of the Super Smash.
In October 2023, NZC announced a further three-year renewal of its partnership with KFC, which entailed the latter retaining the naming rights for all domestic T20I matches featuring the Black Caps as well as the role of Presenting Partner of the Super Smash.
Coca-Cola-owned Powerade is the official sports drink of the Black Caps and the White Ferns as part of a deal that covers New Zealand Cricket at all levels.
New Zealand Cricket announced a five-year deal with Indian online fantasy gaming platform Dream11 in July 2022.
The partnership has led to creation of Kiwi-branded NFTs for fans to own along with online gaming.
Asahi Beverages also has a deal in place with New Zealand Cricket.
The brewery, as part of the NZC deal, spreads the message of responsible drinking (for those above 18).
In November 2024, Asahi Beverages announced another year of partnership with NZC. The current deal entails Boundary Rd Brewery (BRB) acting as the official beer sponsor, with ABNZ’s Brookvale Union serving as the official ready-to-drink (RTD) sponsor of NZC.
Ready-To-Drink (RTD) brand Pals became a commercial partner of New Zealand Cricket in August 2022.
The brand is an official partner of both the men’s and women’s Kiwi national teams.
Food and beverage brand Tegel was announced as the Kiwi men’s national team’s Test series naming partner in January 2024.
The deal saw the company’s logo feature on the matchday shirts for the Kiwi men’s national cricket team’s series played in the UAE, England, and Bangladesh in the lead-up to the 2023 ODI World Cup.
LifeDirect also acts as the series partner for all White Ferns and Black Caps ODI matches taking place in New Zealand.
Community pharmacy Chemist Warehouse partnered with New Zealand Cricket in September 2024 to become the naming rights partner of the ODI series for both the BlackCaps and the White Ferns.
As part of the agreement, the pharmacy retailer also supports community initiatives and promotional activities to inspire cricket fans across New Zealand.
Liverpool-based British sportswear brand Castore announced its partnership with New Zealand Cricket in December 2023, signing a six-year deal kicking off in October 2024.
Castore is thus responsible for designing the Kiwi men’s and women’s matchday kits for all three formats of the game, while also providing fan replicas of the same.
Les Mills, a chain of fitness clubs operating across New Zealand, is listed on the official NZC website as a Commercial Partner.
Accor Live Limitless (ALL) is the lifestyle loyalty programme of French hospitality company Accor.
On its official website, NZC has listed ALL.com as its official hotel supplier.
Hertz New Zealand is the Official Rental Car Partner of New Zealand Cricket.
As part of the deal, Hertz New Zealand also offers discounts to cricket fans in New Zealand and Australia.
TVNZ is the exclusive and official broadcaster of all domestic matches featuring the New Zealand men’s and women’s national cricket teams. The company has also held the broadcast rights for Super Smash games since the 2023/24 season.
NZC signed its ongoing agreement with TVNZ in December 2022, and it kicked off with the start of January 2023 as part of Spark’s decision to exit the sports streaming market.
SENZ became the official radio commentary partner of New Zealand Cricket in June 2023.
The two parties currently have in place a four-year agreement, which entails SENZ providing audio coverage for all domestic matches featuring the Black Caps and the White Ferns.
SENZ also broadcasts the men’s and women’s Super Smash series, as well as the finals of both the Domestic Premier and One Day Competitions.
