This article contains information regarding the organisations enjoying a strong branding presence across the New Zealand men’s and/or women’s national football teams’ physical and digital assets as sponsors and partners of New Zealand Football (NZF).

Official Sponsors 

Ford 

Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Michigan, USA.

In November 2021, Ford announced the signing of a three-year partnership deal with NZF, becoming the first-ever naming rights partner of the Football Ferns—the New Zealand national women’s football team—who are since known as the Ford Football Ferns. 

Apart from that, Ford is also the naming rights sponsor to a number of NZF initiatives, including the Women in Leadership Programme, the Community Leadership Programme, the Female Coach Mentorship Programme, and the Future Ferns Domestic Programme. It is also the official sponsor of the women’s National League. 

McDonald’s 

Founded in 1940, McDonald’s is an American multinational fast-food chain based in San Bernardino, California. It is the world’s largest fast-food restaurant chain, and as of 2022, has the sixth-highest global brand valuation. 

McDonald’s has been a major NZF sponsor since 1999, having served as the official naming rights partner of Junior Football as well as providing support to the Small Whites campaign. 

Nike 

Nike is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, markets and distributes sportswear, clothing, footwear and accessories across the world. It is one of the largest sportswear manufacturers in the world. 

In 2003, Nike announced the signing of a four-year partnership deal with NZF, participating in the development of young Kiwis through the Small Whites Campaign as well as supporting the men’s and the women’ senior national football teams. Since then, there have been many contract renewals between two parties, with the latest contract running out by the end of 2023. 

Sky Sport

Sky Sport is a group of sports-oriented television channels operated by New Zealand’s satellite pay-TV company, Sky. NZF and Sky’s association dates back to the early 1990s. Sky has the official rights to transmit all football events that involve the national team at all levels. 

ACC SportSmart 

ACC SportSmart is a sport performance and injury prevention framework with associated programme resources. SportSmart provides advice on how to improve performance by minimising the risk of injury for everyone who is physically active.

ACC SportSmart has been an NZF partner for many years now, and the two have worked extensively to minimise the risk of injury in the field of play. 

The Southern Trust

The Southern Trust is a New Zealand-based charitable trust with the sole purpose of raising funds to benefit the community. It returns 95% of available proceeds to the community in which they were raised. The remaining 5% is distributed to wider regional communities or nationally.

The Southern Trust also serves as an official sponsor to New Zealand Football. 

Xero 

Xero is a New Zealand–based technology company that provides cloud-based accounting software for small and medium-sized businesses. The company has offices in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the US. 

In December 2022, Xero announced its partnership with NZF alongside its global FIFA Women’s World Cup partnership. As per the deal, the partnership will run until 2026, with the company looking to provide local clubs with solutions to perform at their peak. 

Resene 

Founded in 1951, Resene Paints Ltd is a Wellington-based paint and building materials manufacturer and retailer. In September 2022, NZF announced a partnership deal with Resene, as per which the latter supports the country’s national football leagues as well as the Ford Futsal SuperLeague. 

Resene also has branding presence at home international fixtures for both the All Whites and the Ford Football Ferns. 

Go Media 

Go Media is a New Zealand-based outdoor media solutions company that provides various outdoor advertising services as well as classical and digital billboards. 

In May 2023, NZF announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Go Media. The outdoor media solution company thus serves as an official partner of the Ford Football Ferns.
