Serena Williams is all set to take part in the final tennis tournament of her illustrious career. The US Open has kicked off, and the American sensation has already won her first round of the tournament as she beat Montenegrin tennis player Danka Kovini?.
To celebrate the occasion, Nike have come up with a line of upgraded outfits for the multiple-time Grand Slam winner.
The outfit for the tournament has been inspired by figure-skating and looks to bring within it the grace and elegance associated to a figure skater. The six layers of the dress are a call-back to Williams six prior titles at Flushing Meadows, which started in 1999 when she was just seventeen.
Along with the clothing, Nike will also be providing Williams with a tote bag and jacket with crystals. The diamond-studded NikeCourt Flare 2 will also be sported by Williams as she takes the to the court during the US Open.
Williams has been in association with the brand since 2003 and will continue to partner with the brand post retirement as well.
