The Uruguayan Football Association (Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol; AUF) has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with global sportswear giant Nike.
The deal will see Nike provide the Uruguay men’s and women’s national teams across the AUF’s association football, Olympic, beach football, futsal, and e-sports divisions with apparel as the Exclusive Sports Sponsor and Supplier.
With this agreement, Nike aims to increase participation and access to the game in the country right from the grassroots level, and to that end it will be working with the AUF on “enhancing” local football programmes and coaching education.
