OnePlus signs multi-year UFC deal

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced a new partnership with Chinese technology company OnePlus. The multi-year partnership will see OnePlus join as the Official Marketing Partner of the UFC.

The partnership will also see the launch of OnePlus’ new Nord N20 5G phone and a broadcast feature inventory during UFC pay-per-view events. Additionally, OnePlus will also serve as the Presenting Partner of selected UFC content series. There will also be an annual brand ambassador assigned as part of the agreement, which will be provided with paid promotional opportunities for the UFC matches.

Jeff Norris, Head of Integrated Marketing at OnePlus, commented:

We are very excited to be partnering with UFC to support the OnePlus brand in North America. We’re both challenger brands and revolutionising our respective industries, and we’re ecstatic to bring the OnePlus smartphones and specifically the OnePlus Nord N20 5G to UFC’s amazing fan base.

Paul Asencio, UFC Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships, added:

We’re thrilled to support OnePlus’ commitment to bring affordable 5G to North America. Our research shows UFC’s fan base over indexes on comprising early adopters of new technology, so this device and our audience makes for a great product-market fit.

Through the partnership, OnePlus is looking to break into the American UFC market, which reportedly has 43.3 million fans.
