UK-based events company Arena Group has been announced as an Official Supporter of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, scheduled to be held in Paris, France, and referred to as “Paris 2024”.
As the event’s Official Temporary Infrastructure Supporter, Arena Group will supply containers, temporary stands, scaffolding, tents and interior fittings to help with Paris 2024’s goal of hosting the event by using 95% of existing venues and temporary infrastructure to reduce its carbon footprint. 90% of Arena Group’s installations will be reused in the future, while the rest will be recycled.
Arena Group will provide its services to at least 13 venues, which include the Stade de France, Le Golf National, the Paris Olympic Aquatic Centre, Paris La Défense Arena, the Nautical Stadium of Vaires-sur-Marne, the Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, and North Paris Arena.
Tony Estanguet, President, Paris 2024, commented:
“As an official supporter of the games, this highly experienced global player in the event industry will be providing invaluable services and infrastructure at no fewer than 13 competition venues. It was also very important for us that Arena commits to more environmentally-friendly practices, in line with our vision of a more responsible Olympic and Paralympic Games.“
Paul Berger, Chief Executive, Arena Group, said:
“This is a great moment in Arena’s history, especially for our overlay division, and a great honour for all of us. We are proud to support the environmental ambitions of Paris 2024, in particular by prioritising the circular economy and innovative solutions.“
