George Russell is one of the latest British drivers who is gunning to make his mark in the F1 circuit after being named the driver to partner Lewis Hamilton for the upcoming 2022 F1 season. Russell, who made his first appearance in 2019, achieved his first Podium with Williams at the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix.
In 2017, Russell was announced as a part of the Mercedes-AMG young drivers’ programme after the likes of Esteban Ocon. Now, Mercedes-AMG have signed him on a two-year contract, showing Russell’s ambition to become a world champion and Mercedes’ objective to avenge the 2021 season and become F1 champions again.

Russell was signed into the Mercedes junior programme in 2016 after an impressive season in FIA Formula 3 European Championship, in which he finished third. He went on to win GP3 and F2 in successive seasons.
He completed his final F1 season with Williams racing and has started the 2022 season partnering up with Lewis Hamilton for the Mercedes F1 team, and since joining he has also been the face of Mercedes’ F1 merchandising.
When Russell graduated from GP3 to FIA Formula 2 in 2018, Bell Helmets signed him up as part of its sponsorship agreement with his Formula 2 team ART Racing. He is now one of the few F1 athletes who act as a brand ambassador for the company.
Alpinestars is the manufacturer of performance and protective footwear and attire for motorsport stars. It has endorsed Russell since his F1 debut in 2019. He is one of the ten drivers that Alpinestars endorses, which also includes his former Williams teammate Nicholas Latifi.
MDM Designs is the motorsport graphic and website designer for Russell, having worked with the British driver since 2012. The company created Russell’s first-ever website and has been designing his helmets since his karting days.
During his early career in karting and GP3, Puma tied up with George Russell to provide him with his racing gears and trackside apparels. Puma now provides Russell with his official gym training gear.
The British Racing Drivers’ Club is home to some of the most successful racing drivers. Started by former F1 world champion Damon Hill, the BRDC endorses young British motorsport drivers and has been a sponsor of George Russell since his F4 days.
Before joining Mercedes, George Russell was a part of the Williams racing team and had a set of different sponsors with them.
Acronis is a cyber-technology company headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. It is the official tech sponsor of Williams Racing and, by extension, sponsored Russell as well.
OMP Racing is an Italian manufacturer of motorsport safety equipment and racing car accessories. It was announced as Williams’ Official Supplier of technical performance products in February 2021. As a result of this deal, the company also endorsed Russell.
This probably is one of the most unique endorsement deals in Formula 1 history, as George Russell partnered up with singer and songwriter Maisy Kay because of which he featured in Kay’s song video of The Storm, and his helmet also carried her name in the 2019 British Grand Prix.
