Health company Hoop has roped in Indian badminton star PV Sindhu as an investor and brand ambassador.

The Olympic medallist will thus promote the brand and its products via multiple activations.

Speaking about the Hoop deal, PV Sindhu commented:

Badminton demands peak physical performance. Prioritising pain relief, muscle recovery and sleep is critical for athletes like myself. I tried Hoop products for months and was incredibly impressed with their value not just for athletes, but for any one who is focusing on living an active life.

Twinkle Uppal, Founder, Hoop, said:

Hoop emerged out of the unmet wellness needs of young India. Our lifestyles have changed – muscle recovery after workouts, injury prevention during sports, back pain from long sitting hours, neck pain from tech devices, screentime induced sleep troubles. While our needs have changed, there are limited innovative products today which fit the lifestyle of new India.

Saharsh Agarwal, Co-Founder, Hoop, added:

We feel PV Sindhu is the perfect evangelist of our brand. She truly embodies the spirit of a champion and her story is one of tremendous grit. She is the first and only Indian to become the Badminton World Champion, only the second individual Indian athlete to win two consecutive medals at Olympics and one of the World’s Highest-Paid Female Athletes. Sindhu is not only the face of Indian sport, but also an immensely credible voice in fitness.

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is one of the most recognised names in India. Having won gold at the 2019 World Championship and having become the first Indian female athlete to win two individual medals at the Olympics, worldwide success has made the badminton player hailing from Hyderabad a sporting icon in the country. Sindhu had a career-high ranking of world no. 2 in 2017, and recently won gold at 2022 Commonwealth Games. Aside from her on-court heroics, Sindhu is also one of the highest-paid female athletes, as reported by Forbes. With Sindhu being a brand magnet, here we take a look at the shuttler’s endorsement deals over the years. Biryani By Kilo - Biryani By Kilo (BBK), a food start-up run by Gurugram-based Sky Gate Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., announced acer shuttler, PV Sindhu, as its first-ever brand ambassador in January 2023. Sindhu will be seen face as the face of the brand, with their association considered more meaningful since the shuttler was born and brought up in Hyderabad according to the brand. Talking about their association, Sindhu said, “I am happy to be associated with Biryani By Kilo(BBK) as I have always been fond of their biryani, kebabs and curries.
