The Rajasthan Royals won hearts and took everyone by surprise when they won the first-ever IPL back in 2008. Since then, however, things have not gone quite well for them. Having finished bottom of the table in last year’s IPL, things could go all but up for the Royals. Here’s a list of their sponsors going into the 2021 Indian Premier League.
Reliance Jio – The Mumbai-based Indian telecom giant has maintained a sponsorship deal with all eight teams across the IPL since the 2018 season. For RR, Jio is set to be a Principal Sponsor for the 2021 IPL and its logo will be emblazoned at the back of the team’s matchday shirt. In August 2020, Jio exclusive released a three-part documentary, titled Inside Story: A season with the Rajasthan Royals, that covers the side’s 2019 IPL season.
KEI Wires & Cables – The New Delhi-based wires and cables manufacturer has been a Principal Sponsor to RR since the 2018 season. The two have worked on several ad campaigns centred around RR’s star players. KEI’s logo appears at the front of RR’s matchday shirt, on the top left corner.
BKT – Ahead of the 2021 IPL season, Mumbai-based tire manufacturer BKT (Balkrishna Industries Limited) signed a sponsorship deal with seven out of eight teams (Sunrisers Hyderabad excluded) in March 2021 to become their Official Tire Partner. For RR, BKT will also serve as a Principal Sponsor, with its logo featuring on the back of the team’s matchday shirt.
Red Bull – RR partnered with the Austrian energy drink giant in March 2019 with focus on the annual T20 college cricket tournament, Red Bull Campus Cricket, which has since also served the team as a source for potential talent. Red Bull’s logo also features on the sleeves of RR’s matchday shirt since the 2020 IPL.
Expo 2020 Dubai – Expo 2020 is set to return as RR’s title (principal front-of-shirt) sponsor for the 2021 IPL. For over 170 years, World Expos have been a celebration of cultures, collaborations, and multi-faceted innovations from countries all over the world. The Title Sponsorship was previously announced in January 2020 to cover the 2020 IPL, but was called off because of the coronavirus pandemic, which delayed both the Expo and the IPL. Expo 2020 is now scheduled for 1 Oct, 2021 – 31 Mar, 2022.
