Austrian Formula One team Red Bull Racing have recently announced a couple of organisational changes within their technical leadership team. The announcement comes shortly after quadruple World Champion Max Verstappen’s long-time race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, who confirmed to leave the team at the end of 2028.
Amongst the changes in the technical leadership group, Ben Waterhouse, who joined Red Bull back in 2014 and has been serving as the Head of Performance Engineering since 2017, will take up the role of Chief Performance and Design Engineer and is stated to have ‘overarching responsibility’ across Design and Vehicle Performance, reporting directly to Technical Director Pierre Wache.
Red Bull also announced that Andrea Landi, who has held the roles of Deputy Head of Vehicle Performance at Ferrari and Deputy Technical Director at Racing Bulls, will join the team as their Head of Performance and will report directly to Waterhouse.
Red Bull Racing released a statement which read,
“This evolution strengthens integration between these areas and will accelerate the development of competitive, high-performing solutions. These changes support the Team’s long-term technical ambitions and reflect its continued focus on developing internal talent while attracting leading expertise from across the sport.”
