Sony Pictures Networks India acquires TV and digital rights for Indian Football League 2025/26

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced that it has acquired the television and digital rights for the Indian Football League (IFL) for its 2025/26 season.

The IFL, which was previously known as the I-League, will be broadcast live on SPNI channels.

Alongside the IFL, SPNI also has the Indian Super League, the Durand Cup, UEFA EURO 2028, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Conference League, the UEFA Nations League, 1. Bundesliga, and the FA Cup among others as part of its football portfolio. 

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sports and International, Sony Pictures Networks India, commented:

The Indian Football League is an important pillar of the country’s football structure, with deep regional followings and a vital role in shaping the next generation of talent. With this acquisition, we are further strengthening our football offering and building a more complete ecosystem for fans in India, one that spans the biggest international stages as well as the heart of the domestic game.” 

M Satyanarayan, Deputy Secretary General, AIFF, added:

We are happy to state that we have Sony Sports Network as the broadcast partners for the league. Last season, the title race went right down to the final day, and we hope this year, it will be just as exciting. The Indian Football League has its own distinct charm, and we are confident it will live up to expectations once again. We believe the overall quality of the league will be strong, and fans can look forward to a highly competitive season.”
