Turkish company joins Spurs on a multi-year deal.
Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur have signed a three-year deal with Turkish delivery service Getir. The Turkish company becomes the North London side’s first-ever training wear partner and also join as the club’s official global partner.
The grocery delivery service, based out of İstanbul, had previously announced a partnership with the club in August, and the new deal sees the Turkish company feature across all of the men’s team training kits.
The delivery service, who had launched its services in the United Kingdom back in January, has already completed a million deliveries across the cities of London, Manchester, Cardiff, Liverpool, Bristol, Brighton and Birmingham. Getir expects to expand its presence to a total of 15 cities across the United Kingdom by the end of 2021.
The partnership with Spurs was launched by Spurs’ stars Dele Alli, Lucas Moura and Joe Rodon along with Tottenham’s Training Centre’s Head of Kit and Equipment, Steve Dukes.
Getir’s UK General Manager, Turancan Salur, spoke about the partnership, stating, “We are excited to be announced as Tottenham Hotspur’s first-ever Training Wear sponsor. As an Official Global Partner, we look forward to supporting our loyal customers and reaching out to more people in the community on match days throughout this three-year partnership. We are delighted that fans will see our purple and yellow name within the stadium and on the training kits of the players.”
Spur’s Chief Commercial Officer, Todd Kline, also spoke about the new deal: “We are delighted to be expanding our relationship with Getir and carrying their name on the Men’s team training wear for the next three years. We look forward to supporting the growth in awareness of the Getir brand using the global appeal of the Club and by delivering unique experiences and match day activations at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for our fans using Getir’s world-class technology.”
