UP Warriorz partner with Navya Naveli Nanda

Entrepreneur and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda has partnered with Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchise UP Warriorz.

The partnership will see Nanda’s non-profit initiative “Project Naveli” work with the Warriorz to “accelerate the drive towards positive change in society, using the vehicle of sport.”

The UP Warriorz will provide support to Project Naveli initiatives such as “Nimaya” and “Entrepreneur”, while also launching the “Trash Talk Clean Up” campaign, which is aimed at creating a safer environment for female athletes.

Through this partnership, the two parties aim to develop an environment which is safe and drives progress for women in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking about the association, Navya Naveli Nanda said:

I am delighted to partner with UP Warriorz, a team that resonates with our mission at Project Naveli. Together, we hope to make a substantial impact in promoting mental health, entrepreneurship among women, and ensuring a respectful and safe online environment for female athletes.

Jinisha Sharma, Director of Capri Sports, added:

This partnership is focused on confronting key issues that impact women in the realm of athletics and in societal spheres, aiming to cultivate a space where the prowess and successes of women athletes are acknowledged and celebrated.
