Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team (VCARB) have partnered with Holy Technologies to work on a “joint research and development project to showcase Holy Technology’s Infinite Fiber Placement (IFP) technology.”
The partnership entails manufacturing an existing component of the VCARB race car with 20% weight reduction and making it fully recyclable using a mirror housing made by Holy Technologies to show that the tech can be used on race weekends, highlighting the “potential for sustainable manufacturing in motorsport and also paves the way for future applications in different industries.”
Paolo Marabini, Chief Designer at VCARB, commented:
“Holy Technologies is taking a completely different approach to the manufacturing process that is normally used for carbon fibre components. It opens up the opportunity to reuse the same carbon fibre and therefore has the potential to significantly reduce the overall amount of material we use for our car components, while at the same time optimising the performance of those components.“
