Victor Wembanyama joins Louis Vuitton

Basketball star Victor Wembanyama has been announced as the latest brand ambassador of French luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton (LV).

As an LV ambassador, Wembanyama will be representing the brand at “key events and appear in their promotional imagery”. 

The San Antonio Spurs star was recently selected as the No.1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. 

Louis Vuitton released the following statement on the matter:

Striving for excellence and with a perpetual honing of craft, Victor joins Louis Vuitton on a journey of shared values and aligned ambitions. Like Louis Vuitton himself, the young athlete has blazed a trail, excelling in a career that is only just beginning.

Victor Wembanyama spoke to GQ about his new partnership, stating:

Over the years there’s been plenty of different styles and some that are really, really outdated now in the league.To me it’s the best. … It’s the best partner I can think of.
