West Ham United FC extend Lyca Mobile partnership

West Ham United FC have signed a multi-year partnership extension with international mobile virtual network operator Lyca Mobile, which will continue on as the club’s Official Global SIM Card Partner. The partnership will also include the West Ham senior women’s team from the upcoming season.

The partnership, which started back in 2012/13, will now see Lyca and West Ham work on activities the fans could get access to via Lyca Mobile “Fan Plans” that will include winning matchday tickets, merchandise and “meet the player” experiences.

The partnership extension will continue to have Lyca’s branding present on the LED systems on matchdays at London Stadium (home of the West Ham senior men’s team) and the Chigwell Construction Stadium (home of the West Ham senior women’s team) as well as on West Ham’s digital media platforms.

Nathan Thompson, West Ham United FC’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:

We are delighted to have secured a further extension to our partnership with Lyca Mobile. I’m thrilled that this partnership has run into its second decade and this is testament to the shared values and ambitions of both West Ham United and Lyca Mobile. As the profile of our Women’s team continues to grow, off the back of a successful standalone girls’ edition of the Lyca Mobile Cup, I am also delighted to welcome Lyca Mobile to our portfolio of Women’s partners.

Whilst we have achieved some fantastic things together, I have no doubt that the best is yet to come which will benefit our loyal fanbase.

Richard Schäfer, Lyca Group’s CEO, added:

We are thrilled to have renewed our long-standing partnership with West Ham United at this exciting time for the Club. As a business that has worked alongside the team for many years, it was fantastic to see them win their European trophy last season. But just as importantly, it has been hugely gratifying to support West Ham United’s charitable initiatives in bringing opportunities to local communities and young people in east London and Essex over the past decade.

It’s great to see our partnership expand to include the Women’s team at such an exciting time for women’s football with the World Cup underway. I look forward to the opportunities this partnership can bring to our customers over the next few years.
