Top 10 left-wingers in football right now – Male

With the game becoming more intricate, territorial, and data-centric, and the 4-4-2 becoming more and more redundant in modern football, a myriad of formations and positional tweaks mean wide men now are a different specimen to the classic crossers and providers of the 1990s. The modern-day wingers have a lot on their plate considering the tasks given to them on both ends of the pitch, making it one of the most difficult and vital positions in the sport. These days, they’re goalscorers, pressers, raumdeuters and much more. While the overall criteria for judging wingers remain the same as before, nowadays, they are evaluated based on their goal-scoring abilities and contribution to the team’s overall build-up play in addition to their dribbling and delivering abilities.

Hummel releases toned-down kits for Denmark in protest of the Qatar World Cup

Hummel releases toned-down kits for Denmark in protest of Qatar World Cup

Hummel said it had toned down the details on Denmark’s World Cup jerseys and also released a black kit. The new red kit is inspired by its Euro 92’ success when Denmark won its only major title but has its logo and details barely visible. An all-black design, which Hummel said signifies the “colour of mourning”, will be its third kit in Qatar. Denmark will wear kits at the World Cup that were designed by manufacturer Hummel as a protest against Qatar’s human rights record ahead of the tournament, the sportswear company said on Wednesday. The DBU said its two training kit sponsors would make way for messages critical of Qatar while it will also minimise the number of trips to the country to avoid commercial activities that promote the World Cup hosts’ events. “We’ve toned down all the details for Denmark’s new World Cup jerseys, including our logo and iconic chevrons,” Hummel Sport said on Instagram.
