Crystal Palace Football Club have signed a multi-year partnership agreement with the University of Greenwich, bringing it on board as their Official Higher Education Partner.
The agreement will see the university’s students gain access to “hands-on experience in the professional sports industry through placements, internships, and research projects across the club”, as well as “guest speaker sessions with Palace staff, involvement in live projects, and matchday operations experience”.
Additionally, University of Greenwich branding will be present across the club’s home ground (Selhurst Park) and digital channels, with special focus on “Under-18 social media output”. Discounted tickets for matches involving Palace’s women’s and U21 teams, as well as access to Crystal Palace events and potential open days, are also part of the agreement.
Barry Webber, Chief Commercial Officer at Crystal Palace FC, commented:
“We’re thrilled to welcome the University of Greenwich to the Crystal Palace family. This partnership is about more than branding, it’s about offering real opportunities for young people to dive into careers in sport, business, and media, and gain invaluable experience with a Premier League football club. We can’t wait to collaborate closely with the university and their talented students in the seasons to come.”
Professor Jane Harrington, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the University of Greenwich, added:
“We are proud to partner with Crystal Palace Football Club, an organisation that shares our core values on and off the pitch. This partnership will open up new opportunities for our students, bring us even closer to the community, and demonstrates what is possible when education and sport come together.“
