Having started off as the Denver Larks, the Denver-based NBA team have seen multiple name changes before reaching their current iteration – the Denver Nuggets.
Although the Nuggets have qualified for the NBA playoffs multiple times, they remain one of the only teams to have never reached the NBA Finals.

A global leader in money transfers and payments, Western Union signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the Nuggets back in 2017, which saw Western Union become the team’s first jersey sponsor, starting with the 2017-18 season.
In November 2020, both parties mutually agreed to renew their partnership on a multi-year deal. As part of this deal, the Western Union logo features on all Nuggets jerseys, and Western Union also receives prominent signage and features on radio broadcasts, social media and television.
Dallas-headquartered Southwest Airlines has been the Official Airline Sponsor of the Nuggets since 2009. The sponsorship deal includes in-arena signage, promotions, contests and digital media rights.
In January 2016, UCHealth signed a partnership with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, the sports and entertainment holding company that has the Denver Nuggets as a subsidiary.
The partnership sees the non-profit health care system, which is based out of Colorado, join the Nuggets on a long-term deal as their Official Health Care Partner.
In August 2020, premier global sportsbook operator PointsBet announced a multi-year partnership with the Denver Nuggets, joining as the team’s Official and Exclusive Gaming Partner.
The partnership covers the entire gaming category, including online, retail sports betting and alternate betting such as daily fantasy sports, online casino and other free-to-play offerings.
Athlete engagement platform Teamworks partnered with the Denver Nuggets in 2019, which has seen the Durham, North Carolina-based firm work with the NBA team to develop a better culture through player engagement.
Colorado-based brewing company Breckenridge Brewery partnered with the Nuggets in January 2020, which saw the brewery launch an exclusive beer for the team.
Mile High City, the specially curated lager for the NBA team, was launched on January 30 and is made available at the Pepsi Center and across bars and liquor stores in Colorado.
Telecommunications firm Verizon signed a partnership with fifteen NBA teams in May 2021. The Nuggets were one of the fifteen teams that signed the deal with Verizon. As part of the deal, Verizon deploys its 5G network at the stadiums and arenas of the teams while working with them to provide their fans with more immersive experiences.
Multinational technology company Avaya partnered with the Denver Nuggets in 2016 that saw the tech firm work with the team to make Wi-Fi more accessible to the fans at Ball Arena, the home ground of the Nuggets.
Both parties continue to work together to make sure the fans receive unforgettable experiences when they visit Ball Arena.
The supermarket brand of Kroger, King Soopers has been a long-time partner of the Nuggets. King Soopers also sponsors the ‘Hero of the Game’ for each home game, which sees one Hero, who is a military person, honoured during the game and receive two lower-level tickets at Ball Arena, a VIP parking pass and a thank you gift from King Soopers.
In October 2020, sustainable packaging solutions provider Ball Corporation signed a multi-year deal with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which saw the company secure the naming rights to the Denver Nuggets’ home stadium, which was previously known as Pepsi Center.
The American multinational beverage, food and snack corporation has been a partner of the Denver Nuggets for more than two decades, having teamed up in 1999.
PepsiCo is currently the Official Beverage Sponsor at Ball Arena. Previously, Pepsi also had the naming rights for the Nuggets’ home stadium, which was thusly called Pepsi Center, until Ball Corporation acquired the naming rights in October 2020.
The Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer has been a long-time partner of the Denver Nuggets. Lexus, a luxury vehicle division of Toyota, is currently the Official Corporate Sponsor of the team.
Colorado-based multinational drink and brewing company Molson Coors is currently the Official Beverage Sponsor of the Nuggets.
Prior to Molson Coors, it was MillerCoors that was the beverage sponsor of the team, but in 2016, Molson Coors acquired the entire global brand portfolio of The Miller Brewing Company.
