WTA World No. 1 Iga ?wi?tek and ATP World No. 41 Ben Shelton have signed partnership agreements with Swiss shoe brand On Running.
As per her agreement, ?wi?tek will join as a global ambassador of the Swiss brand, which has Roger Federer as a co-entrepreneur. ?wi?tek and Shelton will both be wearing On Running shoes on the court from now on.
?wi?tek previously had a partnership with ASICS, while Ben Shelton used to wear New Balance shoes on the court.
Both players will debut their new apparel at the upcoming Miami Open. The partnership will eventually see both players sport On apparel from head to toe on the courts.
Tennis legend Federer invested in the Swiss company back in 2021.
?wi?tek spoke about joining On Running, commenting:
“I’m happy the On team believes in me as an athlete and a person. We plan to grow, develop and make an impact together. You’ll see me in totally new outfits during my next matches and I hope you like it as much as I do.
“And what’s more exciting is that we started to work on my shoes which are crucial in my job and will complement my style of play, giving me everything I need on court. As the process of designing unique shoes takes time, you’ll see me in On shoes later during the year. And when you do… it’s gonna be huge.“
Shelton said:
“As someone in the early stage of my professional career and a challenger on the tour, I love that I’ve partnered with a company that has years of experience in sports performance and is looking to take over a new sport like tennis. I’m really pumped to be the first male tennis player sponsored by On.“
Marc Maurer, Co-CEO of On Running, stated:
“Iga [?wi?tek] sets a superior standard for ushering in a new contingent of outstanding tennis pros who will benefit from On’s years of performance innovations.
“We’re excited for the journey with our impressive team, as their careers will undoubtedly flourish on the world stage for many years to come.“
