Fan taken platform becomes the club’s Official Fan Token Partner.
Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters have become the latest football club to partner with global blockchain enabled fan token platform Socios.com.
The multi-year partnership will see Socios.com become the Official Fan Token Partner of the club. The platform will have its logo present on all the matchday and training jerseys of the Kerala team.
Nikhil Bhardwaj, Director, Kerala Blasters FC, commented:
“With this partnership, we are proud to join an elusive list of clubs within the Socios network. This only reiterates our ambition to take KBFC global. With Socios, we look forward to enhancing our fan experience and creating something very unique to engage our enthusiastic supporters. I thoroughly look forward to a long and fruitful association together.”
Fan tokens give the supporters a chance to influence decisions of their favourite teams, and those with fan tokens can vote on different polls taken by the club.
The deal will also grant the fans access to VIP experiences, digital token-trading with other Socios.com users and participation in trivia challenges amongst other things.
Kerala Blasters become the latest amongst numerous football clubs worldwide to have partnered with Socios.com. Some of the clubs that are already partners with the fan token platform are FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Juventus as well as the football governing bodies of Argentina (AFA) and Portugal (FPF).
On the pitch, the Blasters have been beaten 4-2 by ATK Mohun Bagan in the 2021/22 ISL season opener. They will look to bounce back when they face NorthEast United on November 25.
