Riot Games has renewed its partnership with South Korean automotive marque KIA. The partnership renewal will see KIA return as the Main Automotive Partner for the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) for the 2023 season.

The partnership extension will see KIA offer the fans unique experiences, such as the Mic Check series and will also hold in-game giveaways. The KIA logo will also be present on the rift and the LEC stream throughout the season.

KIA and Riot Games first partnered in 2018, joining as the first Main Partner of the LEC. The partnership extension means KIA and Riot’s partnership continues for a fifth consecutive year.

Jason Jeong, President of Kia Europe, commented:

We are excited to extend our partnership with the League of Legends EMEA Championship, one of the largest and fastest growing esports platforms in the world. We look forward to further connecting with, and bringing further innovation to the esports community in 2023 as a long-standing sponsor.

Eva Suarez, Head of Partnerships Esport EMEA, said:

Kia has been a consistent and reliable partner of the LEC for many years now, so we’re delighted to see the car manufacturer return once more as our Main Partner for the 2023 Season. As a league, we’re constantly striving to innovate and bring the best experiences possible to our fans. Our partnership with Kia, which strives for innovation in everything it does, will allow us to level-up our offering and bring our followers incredible experiences throughout the season.

The 2023 LEC season got underway from January 21 with the Winter Split and will be followed by the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
