Following are the companies and organisations that serve as sponsors and brand partners to Indian Super League club Mumbai City FC and enjoy a strong branding presence across their physical and digital assets.
The delayed World Expo became the City Football Group’s (CFG) Official Exhibition Partner in June 2021 in a deal that covers Manchester City’s men’s, women’s and esports teams, as well as their sister clubs — New York City, Melbourne City, Yokohama F. Marinos and Mumbai City.
For the Mumbai-based team, Expo 2020 was announced as their Principal Partner and the main front-of-matchday-shirt sponsor in November 2021 in a deal covering the 2021-22 season.
The deal is dedicated to promoting the World Expo, which is currently scheduled to be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
Owned by Makati, Philippines-based online gambling company Dafabet, sports news portal DafaNews was announced as the Principal Partner of the club in November 2020, serving as their front-of-matchday-shirt sponsor for the 2020-21 season.
In November 2021, the two extended their partnership in an agreement that made DafaNews the Sports News Portal Partner and the back-of-matchday-shirt sponsor of the club.
In December 2020, Mumbai City were able to leverage their position within the CFG hierarchy—who already have long-standing connections with Cisco—to onboard the San Jose, California-headquartered tech giant as their Official Network Technology Partner.
Apart from branding rights, the deal also sees Cisco provide network solutions for the club’s operations.
The sports simulation games division of the Redwood City, California-based American video game developer and publisher was announced an Official Partner of the club in October 2021 in a deal set to run until the end of the 2023-24 season. The partnership was announced on the back of EA having secured the rights to feature the ISL in its latest FIFA instalment, FIFA 22.
As part of the branding rights, the EA Sports logo features on the back of Mumbai City’s matchday shorts. The deal also sees the two work on joint fan-engagement initiatives.
In October 2020, while awaiting confirmation of their takeover by the City Football Group, Mumbai City announced a “long-term strategic partnership” with Puma, the German sports equipment manufacturer that already had a deal in place for most CFG clubs. Puma serves as the official kit supplier to the team since the start of the 2020-21 season.
The Los Angeles, California-headquartered tech-based natural wellness solutions provider signed a deal with the CFG to become the Official Recovery Partner of Manchester City, Melbourne City, Sichuan Jiuniu and Mumbai City in February 2021.
Apart from branding rights, the deal sees Therabody’s products made available across the aforementioned clubs’ training facilities to help the players with training optimisation, reducing injury risks and accelerated recovery, with educational and investigation programmes also put in place by the Therabody University to help the players learn more about physical conditioning and innovative recovery solutions.
