The National Basketball Association’s (NBA) marketing and production division has re-recruited the Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) consultancy to support its international development goals.
HS&E, a marketing firm, was established with Horizon Media in November 2022 by veteran media executives David Levy and Chris Weil. It aims to open up new chances for experiential marketing, IP creation, and new events both in the real world and the metaverse.
In order to broaden the NBA appeal abroad, the agency will collaborate with NBA Entertainment, leveraging its data-driven analytics to support marketing and branding initiatives.
David Levy, the former president of media behemoth Turner, signed off on a number of significant rights agreement extensions over his 33-year stint at the firm, which helped the network strengthen its ties with the NBA.

Commenting on the association, Gregg Winik, NBA president, Content and Executive Producer said:
“During his many years as an NBA partner, David has demonstrated his creative and innovative approach to branding and growing businesses.
“Adding his expertise to HS&E’s strong data and analytics capabilities will help us better understand the needs of our fans and how to reach them.“
Levy added:
“The NBA is a great brand, and I’m fortunate to have built long term relationships with the professionals at the NBA based on trust, creativity and results.
“We pushed each other and won together, and I am looking forward to this next chapter.“
