The partnership comes ahead of Super Bowl LVI.
North American esports and gaming organisation FaZe Clan has announced a new partnership with the National Football League (NFL). The partnership comes just ahead of Super Bowl LVI.
The partnership will see FaZe Clan and the NFL work together to host a series of content activations which will also include a flag-football game between the members of the NFL and FaZe Clan. The two parties will also work on creating co-branded content. FaZe will also work towards incorporating its talent ambassadors into co-branded content and events.
Ian Trombetta, SVP, Social, Influencer & Content Marketing, NFL, commented:
“Gaming continues to be a core pillar within the broader NFL strategy, and we are excited to announce a joint marketing initiative with FaZe Clan that will kick off with a co-branded flag football game at this year’s Super Bowl Experience presented by Lowe’s.
“In addition, our enhanced relationship will include first-ever activations and initiatives throughout the 2022-2023 season aimed at engaging our casual Gen Z fans.”
Xavier Ramos, SVP and Head of Marketing, FaZe Clan, added:
“Our continued work with the NFL is a great example of how FaZe Clan delivers content and activations that tap into the passions of our fans and talent.
“On top of many successful collaborations in the past, there is mutual appreciation, support and organic friendship among FaZe talent and NFL players across the league.”
This isn’t the first time FaZe Clan and the NFL have collaborated; both previously worked together on a series of activations around the NFL Draft in 2019. The two have confirmed that they are looking to build on their previous partnership.
