Ninjas in Pyjamas launch female CS:GO team

September 8, 2022

Swedish esports firm Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced the launch of their women’s CS:GO team. The team have signed Tilde “?7licious?” Byström and Jennica “?jenkon?” Sjögren, Thea “?pullox?” Evensen, Marita “?Minnie?” Siljan Sørensen and Mayline-Joy “?ASTRA?” Champliaud.

The team include the duo from the Copenhagen Flames, 7licious and jenkon, while the former GODSENT trio of pullox, Minnie and ASTRA also joins them to complete the squad.

The team will be making their debut at the ESL Impact League Season 2, which will be kicking off from September 8 and last till October 23, 2022. They will compete alongside seven other teams to secure a spot in the LAN finals, which will be held in November 2022 in Jönköping, Sweden.

Speaking about the team launch, TILDE “7licious” Byström commented:

I’m super happy and proud that we finally can announce our team as the NIP Impact squad. I feel like we complete each other perfectly both in-game and IRL, which makes my work as an in-game leader (IGL) much easier. Im super proud to be a part of this lineup and I can assure you that with some time we will show the world what we can do. NIP has always been close to my heart and to have the opportunity to play under such a legendary org is just a dream come true, but the job is not done yet.

Hicham Chahine, CEO, Ninjas in Pyjamas, added:

We are finally making a monumental move by entering ESL Impact. It is a step in the right direction, a way for us to showcase that greatness and talent has no bounds.
