Nike

The partnership between Cristiano and Nike first began in 2003 and in 2016, he became the third athlete in history to sign a lifetime deal with the brand. Prior to him, only Michael Jordan and LeBron James were given this wonderful opportunity.

Herbalife

Global Nutrition company, Herbalife, first partnered with Ronaldo in 2013, when it launched a co-branded sports drink, ‘Herbalife24 CR7 Drive’. Ever since Ronaldo has also served the brand as its brand ambassador. The deal was later renewed in 2018 for three years. On the extension, Ronaldo said, “It is personally and professionally rewarding to be able to help other athletes around the world understand how nutritious products can help them perform better.”

DAZN

Sports streaming platform, DAZN, joined forces with Ronaldo in August 2018. Owned by Perform Group, DAZN is an online sports streaming platform, also commonly called the Netflix of Sports. Cristiano works as the global ambassador of DAZN in all its operating countries, including Canada, Germany, and Japan.

Clear

Ronaldo became an ambassador of Clear Shampoo in 2014. Since then, he has been featured in a few adverts for the brand, which were spread across different media.

Altice Portugal

American cable television provider/multiple system operators, Altice, has been a partner of Ronaldo since 2015. The contract was last renewed in 2019.

Garena Free Fire

In December 2020, Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled as a brand ambassador for Garena Free Fire, a battle royale game developed by 111dots Studio for Android and iOS. As part of the deal, Cristiano was introduced within the game as a playable character called Chrono.

American Tourister

Cristiano has been a global brand ambassador of Samsonite-owned luggage brand American Tourister since 2018.

LiveScore

In May 2021, Cristiano signed a two-year deal to become an Official Global Brand Ambassador of LiveScore, a real-time sports updates and streaming service provider with headquarters in Gibraltar, London and Prague. The deal was signed to include Cristiano in LiveScore’s dedicated marketing campaign ahead of the delayed UEFA Euro 2020. The deal will also look to incorporate the upcoming FIFA Men’s World Cup.

TAG Heuer

Cristiano is a global brand ambassador for La Chaux-de-Fonds-headquartered Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer since April 2014.

Louis Vuitton

In November 2022, on the eve of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, French luxury house Louis Vuitton posted a photo across its social media accounts featuring Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, the two coming together for a rare joint paid collaboration.

Jacob & Co

The New York-based luxury jewellery and timepiece brand announced a collaboration with Cristiano in November 2022. The partnership kicked off with the launch of the Jacob & Co X CR7 and the Epic X Heart of CR7 collections.

zujuGP

Advertising itself as a future-oriented platform offering unique experiences in football, zujuGP has been collaborating with Cristiano since October 2021. The partnership entails the Portuguese promoting the platform online and appearing in interviews and ads for the same.

Binance

The Cayman Islands-headquartered cryptocurrency exchange announced in June 2022 a multi-year partnership agreement with Ronaldo. The official press release on the Binance website stated that the collaboration would entail “a one-of-a-kind experience for football fans worldwide, with a series of NFT collections that will launch exclusively on Binance’s official NFT platform.”

Duly, Ronaldo’s first NFT collection with Binance was launched in November 2022.

In late November 2023, Ronaldo was named in a US$1bn class action lawsuit in the US, in which the plaintiffs blamed him for the substantial losses they had sustained by investing in the NFTs he promoted via social media in a “sustained and aggressive” manner.

UFL

UFL, an upcoming football simulation game developed and published by Strikerz Inc, announced Cristiano Ronaldo as an official ambassador in its gameplay reveal in January 2022.

Other confirmed UFL ambassadors include Oleksandr Zinchenko, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Roberto Firmino.

In December 2023, Strikerz Inc announced that Ronaldo had come on board the UFL project as an investor.

MTG

Cristiano has been a brand ambassador of Japanese healthcare brand MTG since July 2014.

WHOOP

The Boston, Massachusetts–headquartered fitness tech company gained Ronaldo as a global brand ambassador as well as investor in May 2024. Whoop also released exclusive digital content to kick off the partnership.

Investments

CR7 Fragrances

Cristiano’s signature perfume brand was launched in 2017 and is present in over 40 countries worldwide. In May 2022, it was also added to the inventory of Bengaluru-headquartered Indian e-commerce platform Myntra.

Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels

In the second half of 2017, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to invest in the Portuguese hotel chain, Pestana. The hotels that will be owned by the two will be called Pestana CR7, with CR7 being the trademark combination of Ronaldo’s initials and shirt number. The first two hotels under this venture were opened in Madrid and in New York’s Times Square.

7EGEND

In July 2017, Cristiano Ronaldo purchased a majority stake in Portuguese agency, Thing Pink, digital venture. Thing Pink was then rebranded to 7EGEND with the vision to have a tech brand and a medium to launch new tech products.

Insparya

Ronaldo launched a hair transplant clinic in Madrid, Spain, in March 2019 called Insparya. At the launch of the first clinic, Cristiano said, “Alopecia is a very big problem in Europe and around the world, and we want to help people improve their self-esteem and not be ashamed to come to us.”

CR7 Fitness

Cristiano Ronaldo owns various gyms in Spain and Portugal by the name of CR7 Fitness.

Ursu9

Ursu9 is a naturally alkaline mineral water (pH9) brand.

Chrono24

Ronaldo acquired a stake in online luxury watch marketplace Chrono24 in July 2023. The financial details of the investment remain undisclosed.

Ronaldo invested specifically in Chrono24 GmbH, which is based out of Karlsruhe, Germany.

WHOOP

Ronaldo became an investor in the fitness tech company in May 2024.
