Red Bull ink PONOS partnership

Austrian Formula One team Red Bull Racing have announced a one-off partnership with PONOS, video game developer famous for the mobile game The Battle Cats. The special partnership will be for the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix, which will be returning to the calendar after a three-year gap due to the COVID pandemic. 

The partnership will see PONOS and Red Bull launch limited merchandise in the shape of a specially-designed uchiwa, a traditional Japanese fan which will feature Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez and team boss Christian Horner.

Christian Horner, Team Principal and CEO, Oracle Red Bull Racing, commented:

It’s a real pleasure to return to Japan to race at Suzuka, one of F1’s truly legendary tracks. Suzuka is home to some of our most devoted and passionate fans and to give them something special to remember this race by we’re thrilled to partner with PONOS, one of Japan’s major mobile game development houses. We’re looking forward to the race and to the enjoyment this partnership will bring to fans in Japan.

We are so excited to witness the return of motorsport events to Japan after three years in the form of next month’s Japanese Grand Prix alongside our partners at Oracle Red Bull Racing.

The Japanese Grand Prix is set to be held on October 9, 2022, returning to the F1 calendar for the first time since 2019.
