The Swiss investment machine – Roger Federer Investments 2020

The 20-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer has been at the top of his game ever since we have known him. The Swiss born professional tennis player has had an illustrious career of about 22 years and is still going on with that same fire inside him at the age of 39. With a number of records in his name, he is still at an ATP world ranking of no.4. The Swiss has used his intelligence not only on the court but also by investing in some of the world’s futuristic brands. Here are the Investments made by Roger Federer till date.

ON Running – Federer has teamed up with the upcoming Swiss running brand ‘ON’ and has invested in the company and made founder of the sporting brand as well. As part of his role at ON, Federer will oversee product development, marketing, and fan experiences, lending his knowledge as an elite athlete who has been at the top of his discipline for almost two decades.

NetJets – The private jet Company NetJets have Roger Federer as their brand ambassador who is also an owner of some of the aircrafts. In return, the jet company has guaranteed the tennis star access to some specific aircrafts for a number of hours to manage his travelling while on tours more easily and spending quality time with family.

Team8 – The sports scouting and management agency founded by Roger Federer and his long-time agent Tony Godsick is a really good investment. They had announced a strategic investment and partnership with Universal Tennis, which uses a tennis rating system called UTR. It has proved to be very helpful for tennis players and coaches for scouting and rating young tennis talent at the right time.

Roger Federer Foundation – The charitable foundation opened by the Swiss tennis player has provided help to many needy people around the globe. They have also invested around $28.5 Million in educational programs in Africa and Switzerland which will aim to reach out to approx. 650,000 children.

The tennis legend in May 2020, has been the first tennis player to be at the top of the Forbes ‘World’s Highest paid Athletes List” and still has a lot of sponsors and endorsements to his name such as Japanese clothing company Uniqlo and Swiss companies National Suisse, Credit Suisse, Rolex, Lindt, Sunrise, and Jura Elektroapparate.
