Ben Shelton: Sponsors

For someone who just turned professional in 2022, Ben Shelton has progressed by leaps and bounds within a short span of time.

Shelton took an unorthodox approach during his junior years, forgoing junior ITF tournaments abroad to improve his game with a dedicated schedule while remaining in the US. This bore fruits, as he won the 2016 USTA junior national championship in doubles. In 2021, as a freshman, he clinched the Gladiators’ first team national championship, which he then followed up with the men’s singles title at the 2022 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.

Shelton made his Grand Slam debut at the 2022 US Open and has a career-high ATP ranking of 89th. One can only expect the American’s rankings to soar this year.

Current Deals

New Balance

Shortly after joining hands with Swiss company On for a clothing and shoe sponsorship deal, Shelton signed a deal with American sportswear manufacturer New Balance as his new on-court apparel sponsor.

Shelton initially signed an apparel and shoe sponsorship deal with On. However, after he signed a clothing sponsorship deal with New Balance, his deal with On ended up being restricted to a footwear deal instead.

Yonex

The Japanese sports equipment manufacturing company has in place a multi-year agreement with Shelton. After his association with Wilson ended in 2019, the 20-year-old played without a racquet sponsor for nearly three years before signing a deal with Yonex. 

Previous Deals

Nike

The American multinational corporation had a sponsorship deal in place with Shelton for shoes and on-court apparel. Started in 2019, this association came to an end three years later, in August 2022. 

Wilson

Shelton had Wilson as his racquet sponsor during his junior and college years. The American sports equipment manufacturer has a knack for picking up raw and young talents, and Shelton was one of them. Their association ended in 2019, however, and the 20-year-old played without a racquet sponsor for nearly three years before signing a deal with Yonex.
