Can Scotland make it?

Two matches ahead of us that couldn’t be far apart from each other. While Australia’s encounter with Scotland holds immense importance, Pakistan takes on Ireland in a dead game with both teams knocked out and fighting for pride.

Here’s our prediction for the day’s games.

Men’s T20 WC 2024 Match 35: Australia vs Scotland | 06:00 IST, June 16

A massive match for not only Scotland, but also for the group itself and England. Australia have already booked their spot in the Super Eight but the second team from the group is awaited and Scotland have their fates in their hands. Should they beat Australia, they qualify with England having no chance.

Should Australia beat Scotland, then England will go through, given their superior run rate, after their rout of Oman. On paper, this is a clean and easy Australia win and that’s what we are going for as well.

Fantasy XI: David Warner, Richie Berrington, George Munsey, Matthew Cross, Brandon McMullen, Travis Head, Marcus Stoinis Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, Mark Watt,

Venue: Gros Islet

Winner Prediction: Australia

Men’s T20 WC 2024 Match 36: Pakistan vs Ireland | 20:00 IST, June 16

The U.S.A’s match against Ireland getting washed out meant that not only did the co-hosts qualify for the Super Eight and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 but also knocked out Pakistan and Ireland.

This game thus becomes a dead-rubber encounter and it will be pride that both teams will be fighting for and Pakistan, who have had a horror campaign would like to end with a win and given the firepower at their disposal this should be a Pakistan win

Fantasy XI: Babar Azam, Andy Balbirnie,Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, George Dockrell, Shaheed Shah Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Haris Rauf, Barry McCarthy, Craig Young, Mark Adair,

Venue: Lauderhill

Winner Prediction: Pakistan
